| I looked into it while I was stationed in Japan. I was going to bring mine back with me (before I wrecked it). I was even working with a Registered Importer who had a "pending" status in their petition to make it legal. In the end, they gave up because it would cost too much to make it legal and they didn't think it would be worth it to front that much money for crash testing and safety. The only other option was Evolution Imports. The problem with them is that they disassembled the cars, had them shipped to Florida, and reassembled them over here. This is not legal. The NHTSA specifically states that doing this will result in an impounded car. At this point, the owner can either pay to have it shipped back overseas or pay to have it destroyed. There simply is no legal way to bring a 300ZX back over here at this point.
----------------------------------------------------- Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!! Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM The unicorn gets its revenge... -- Scotts94z32 on September 19, 2006 at 11:12 AM CLICK FOR DETAILS ABOUT BUYING A ZAMA POSTER!!!!
